kesasar
I received a new pair of TwinX yesterday I said that they were working. I tested them under Memtest No problem ! So i used them two days (Friday a few hours and Saturday only the evening) Yesterday evening I played Battlefield 2142 during a few hours. This morning instead of a short beep I heard a long beep immediatly. and the boot process stops here (I am not able to reach the bios settings as the boot process don't go futher) In my Gygabyte user's manual It says : "refresh Error" I tried : - reinserting - swapping same beep I tried using only one memebr of the pair - One module works - the other one don't => beep So I putted back my 2x512Mb Corsair to wrtite you this post.... My system is not overclocked in anyway And I am using standard voltages and speed What can I do ?

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 25, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 25, 2007 Thanks for that, but if you are in the USA we all know what to Dial, and if you are in another country just call the operator and they can tell you. There are only a few countries that know what the + means.
kesasar
Using 4 ran modules : - 512Mo Module A1 - 512Mo Module A2 - 1024Mo Module B1 - 1024Mo Module B2 A1 and A2 are belonging to my current pair of Corsair 3.3.3.8 TwinX B1 and B2 are bolonging to the pair returned by Corsair I tested those config. I have 4 memory slots A1, A2, empty, empty : works A2, A1, empty, empty : works B1, empty, empty, empty : works B2, empty, empty, empty : beep and no boot B1, B2, empty, empty: beep and no boot B2, B1, empty, empty: beep and no boot A1, A2, B1, empty : works (funny the user manual says its a non working config) A1, A2, B1, B2 : beep and no boot
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 26, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 26, 2007 You CAN NOT mix memory with this MB, all of the module would need to be exactly matched. And what slots are Dual channel A1 and A2 or A1 and B1?
kesasar
I am just trying to say that whatever the slot i use the B2 module is not working ! To get Dual channel I must use slots 1 and 2 (or all four) so i can complete my results like this given the following slots S1,S2,S3 and S4 if I put in the slots A1, A2, empty, empty : works in dual channel A2, A1, empty, empty : works in dual channel B1, empty, empty, empty : works in single channel B2, empty, empty, empty : beep and no boot B1, B2, empty, empty: beep and no boot B2, B1, empty, empty: beep and no boot A1, A2, B1, empty : works in single channel (funny the user manual says its a non working config) A1, A2, B1, B2 : beep and no boot So the invalid memory module named "B2" doesn't work whatever slot I put it in Well whatever is not true I just saw that i didn't try A1,A2,B2,empty I was thinking maybe on in my memory slot is not fully working But now I can say no Please note that A1 A2 are my previous (but I still use them -> happilly I didn't have time to put them in another config) Corsair TwinX 2x512Mo Those memory modules have worked flowlessly since ...the begining
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 26, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 26, 2007 To be clear one of the modules will not post in any slot or one of the slots or your MB will not post no matter which module you use? Please test all of the modules in the slot the MB suggests for one module usually A1 or B1.
kesasar
Since Saturday one of the module sent back from Corsair don't post whatever slot is used to put it in A1, A2, B1 and B2 are modules So A1, A2, B1, B2 means A1 in Slot 1 A2 in Slot 2 .... A1 and A2 in slot 1 and 2 has always worked on my MB By the way still no mail from support
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 27, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 27, 2007 You should have a CC email from me to our CSG asking them to contact you. Please let me know if you do not hear from them in the next few hours and I will go there and personally make sure someone does contact you. I am very persuasive, trust me.
