2 x Twin2x2048-6400c4d, w/ one 6400d

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I purchased two of these packages for my new system build.

When I pull up CPU-Z, one of them register as a 6400d. The last only runs timings of 5-5-5-15 instead of the 4-4-4-12 I have them all set to.

Here's the log:

I'd like the right matched pair for this system, will you fix this mix up?

No, this is not normal. I have set the memory timings manually. It won't run at 4-4-4-12 timings. Plus, the memory chip itself says its a 6400D. The other three all say they are 6400C4D's, so it is easy to differentiate between the right chips from the wrong one.

What is the VERSION NUMBER of each pair? **label**

Also, they're not tested @ 4-4-4-12 w/ 4 sticks. Try ONE pair at a time at those timings and the correct voltages. Set the timings manually, and ignore the SPD tab.

Already did that, I know what I'm doing here. I bought all four at the same time, they should all be 6400c4d's, but one is not. This problem isn't that hard to understand. They mislabeled a chip and packaged it with a different chip. I simply posted the four in unison to show the difference in the chip labels.
