Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 26, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 26, 2007 Yes they should work but with 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667.
jkilla74
Yes they should work but with 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667. Ram guy, I bought the 2 modules. They are 2 gigs each. Does that mean I will achieve the DDR800 setting?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 26, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 26, 2007 No not with 4 modules on this chipset. You can try over clocking the CPU and see how high you can get.
jkilla74
Its not 4 modules, its 2.
jkilla74
Guys and update, Its working great at the DDR26400 setting, I didnt have to change the voltage or anything. It recognizes it as 3.2 Gigs, but I know that wont be the case when I put Vista 64 in. Either way I notice a difference in gaming right away. jkilla74
Great and thank you for letting me know! I cant believe I can actually feal the difference with Windows XP Pro, I so many horror stories about 4 gigs, could it be that I have the 2 stick set and not the 4? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 27, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 27, 2007 Thats probably most of it, in fact I missed that because of what you had listed in your signature. However, most of the people never have problems its a small percentage that have an issue and its hard to find any one specific cause because there are so many other things that can complicate the problems. jkilla74
yeah thats what i thought. Since this is working well. I will wait a little longer before I put Vista 64 in. Maybe in a few months there will be better updates and compatibility. Thanks for everything.
