shk
I only need to extend the 24pin and 8pin mobo power cables, so I'm wondering if it would be better to buy extension cables or just extend them myself (soldering 18gauge wire, heatshink, nylon sleeving, the whole deal)? I know I'm going to get 100 replies saying YOUR GONNA VOID THE WARRANTY but I ask because I'm concerned that adding the adaptor/extension cables will degrade the signal (on top of the already modular power). Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 21, 2007 You are correct and that would VOID the warranty if you modify the cables and I cannot suggest it, if you need it longer I would suggest using an extension. But it is your choice how you do that.
