DustinSnell
I just purchased a two sets of TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX G for a total of 8GB. When I try to add all 4 modules (8gb total) the system doesn't post. With just two modules (4gb) it does. I had all 4 banks populated with 1gb corsair chips before and it worked... I really would like to get 8gb going with my 64-bit Vista.... Will this setup work? What do I need to do?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 13, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 13, 2007 With that MB you will need to set the memory frequency at DDR667 and make sure the command Rate or CPC is set to 2T as well as set the memory Voltage to 2.0 Volts. Still didn't work so I tried inserting them one at a time. 3 worked and one failed.... so I am assuming it is bad. Should I just RMA one of the kits then? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 15, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 15, 2007 Please test the "suspect" stick by itself in the system.
DustinSnell
Please test the "suspect" stick by itself in the system. Ye- that's what I did. One of the sticks will not post. So I already RMA'd it and have a new set on the way. Thanks.
