WebScud
Are there any 4GB (2GBx2) DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) SO-DIMM kits in the works? I want to max my new MacBook Pro. :D: All I can find on the main page are 1GB and 512MB sticks.

WebScud
Thanks for looking in to it for me! I've been using Corsair stuff for a long time on all my desktops; I hope I can do the same with my portable.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 12, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 12, 2007 Did you look under our memory configurator? There are too many different models of Mac Book Pro to find any specifics, what is the model of your system?
WebScud
It's not on the configuration site. It's the currently shipping $2,499 model on apple.com.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 13, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 13, 2007 The part# is VS2GSDS667D2 and we have tested it with the slower versions of this notebook so it should work with out problems. Just you need the latest Bios or Firmware version and you may need to reset the Bios with these steps; Shut down the computer, then start it back up while immediately holding the following keys: Command, Option, P and R. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the third time.

tdiggins
(I'm in a similar position - the MacBook Pro (2.4) is new and isn't listed, but if correct I can get I think two of these RAM sticks. Is it worth waiting for a 2x kit to come out (I assume such a kit would come out) as they have then been "tested in pairs" - is that likely to make a big difference? And what are the possibilities that the higher clockspeed than tested will mean they won't work (if it does, will I be able to return... I'm buying from a reseller in the UK)
