I currently have 2-1 gig xms2 5400c4 and ordered another pair same model.

After adding the new 2gb memory and turning on memory remapping ( if I dont its incredibly slow) I get a blue screen memory management error. So I updated to the latest bios dowloaded the windows vista x64 updates for 3gb + memory and still get the blue screen. Any suggestions? I would have thought if I was not overclocking it would just work with the AUTO setting so I am at a lost. I will run memtest on the old set and new set.

Ok I seem to have found a bad stick running memtest. I still have another concern. The timings for the memory according to some posts say 4-4-4-12 I checked mine and it auto defaults to 5-5-5-15 is there a problem with letting it default to this?

If so do I just change the timings to 4-4-4-12 and nothing else?

Thanks

Yes tested each stick I definately found a bad one . So all that needs to be changed is timing and voltage leave other settings to auto? What about memory clock speed? I changed timings to 4-4-4-12 and voltage 1.9 is there anything else I need to modify in the bios?

Thanks for the help.
