RSalazar
Hi, I have had my twinx2048-3200 memory for over a year and have had nice performance with them. Recently I have been having PC issues. One of them is my hard drive but the other appeared to be memory related. I ran a MS memory test utility and got the following results. Pass:1 Test: Stride6 Cache: 0ff Address: 01944b78 Expected: 00000000 Actual: 00000400 Pass:1 Test: Stride6 Cache: 0ff Address: 04068878 Expected: 00000000 Actual: 00000400 Pass:1 Test: Stride6 Cache: 0ff Address: 13f31f78 Expected: 00000000 Actual: 00000400 Pass:11 Test: Stride6 Cache: 0ff Address: 02a10778 Expected: 00000000 Actual: 00000400 I assume that this means it had problems with those areas of the ram. Is there something else I should do before requesting an RMA? Richard ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe AMD Athlon 3200+ ATI x1600 Maxtor 27gb HDD
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 4, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 4, 2007 That would suggest there is some problem with the system, Please use http://www.memtest.org to test the modules. And what slots do you have the modules in and what are the BIOS settings?
RSalazar
the simms are in slots 2 and 3 which I believe is 2,3,4,5. Bios settings are set by the SPD. I dont have them over clocked or any special settings just what they boot into. I will try memtest. Thanks. Richard
