thestunts
Desktop Specs: Motherboard - ASUS P5N-E SLI Memory - Corsair CM2x1024-8500C5D 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 (x2) CPU - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4GHZ I had a set in there and ran memtest86+ and the test would freeze up. So the manufacturer of the computer sent out a replacement. Swapped them out and ran memtest to be sure. After 4 hours there were 1,000+ errors, after 17hours there were 3,000+ at which point I just stopped it. Looking at the compatibility chart for my mobo ( Here ), it seems that these arent even compatible with my mobo. Would this be the reason behind all the errors, or should it still work ok ? Also, I have not had a chance to look into the BIOS settings which I will do in the morning and post the settings. I'm not a hardware savvy guy, but I did try and reach as much as possible as I could. Any suggestions on what I should do to make this computer run in tip top shape ...anything from memory suggestions to BIOS settings is welcome. Thanks for the time and help. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 4, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 4, 2007 With that MB You may have to run the memory at 800 Mhz and set the Timings to Cas 4-4-4-12 at 2.1 Volts and when you run http://www.memtest.org please make sure that you disable legacy USB.
