RAM hardware failure..! Plz help

Recommended Posts

Well, I'm just getting a new computer, but i get Blue Screen frequently. I have update all the driver but still have blue screen. Also when I'm playing a game or when windows start up and running other application, the computer just goes hang (not responding in anyway, even the keyboard capslock doesn't work at all and the mouse is freezing)

Then I downloaded Stress Prime 2004 to check if my CPU and memory RAM are working properly. And when I test just CPU, everything just fine. But when I test both (CPU and RAM) and RAM only, the program stoped the test and show this:

Test 1, 4000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M19922945 using 1024K FFT length.

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4

Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

Torture Test ran 0 minutes 3 seconds - 1 errors, 0 warnings.

Execution halted.

my CPU intel core 2 QUAD and ASUS Striker Extreme Motherboard. I'm using DDR2 memory 2 X 1 GB. Plz give the answer ASAP. Thx.

Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.0 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
