Legionx
Not to long ago i had an error which you correct RAM guy and i thank you for that but now there is a new error. RAM Info CM2X1024-6400C4D XMS2-6400 800MHz 4-4-4-12 XMS640v2.1 07010001-7 Now the first error was over clocking the motherboard RAM voltage to 2.1v and i have not had a blue screen since that. Now to the problem i bought some more RAM exacatly the same i installed it and system would boot up pass POST then blue screen so i put the RAM voltage back at auto voltage for RAM. All was going well then when i started playing a game i got memory errors again and again then i got OS crashes similar to what the other RAM was doing before it was fixed. Now this is the part when i get confused i took out the RAM chips out of the computer and put them back in the package and i wrote down the information. RAM Info CM2X1024-6400C4D XMS2-6400 800MHz 4-4-4-12 XMS6404v1.2 07180586 OS Specs Windows Vista Premium edition 64 bit Motherboard striker extreme What is confusing me is why is one RAM pair at v1.2 and other is v2.1 i assume that is the voltage or version so what should i do? is there any settings i need to set my motherboad at to fix the problems? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 25, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 25, 2007 I would try these settings after you load setup defaults and test with http://www.memtest.org Windows is not a good tool to test with. SLi ready: Disabled Memory Voltage: 2.0v NB Core Voltage: 1.4v TCL: 4 TRCD: 4 TRP: 4 TRAS: 12 Command Per Clock: 2 TRC: 24 If you get errors I would suggest setting the memory frequency to DDR667 and you need to Disable legacy USB when you run http://www.memtest.org with most ASUS MB's.
