Recommended Posts

Hello RAM Guy,

King regards from Berlin (Germany)

i hope you can help me.

For 3 weeks i buy Corsair Dominator CM2X1024-8500C5D (2048MB).

The RAMS dont go with 533 MHz (1066 MHz).

I take follow Settings:

5,5,5,15, 2T @ 2.20 Volt. (533 MHz - 1066 MHz) @ manuell.

With these Settings the PC boot for 5 sec. and than he boot again and again and again or the desktop freezed.

I can not tested with mem86 or goldmem.

When i changed the settings to 4,4,4,12, 1T @ 2.20 Volt. (400 MHz - 800 MHz) i have no problems.

With these setting, the RAM run and i have no error with memtest.

Please tell me,What can i do because more then 400 MHz (800 MHz) is impossible.

My System:

Asus Striker Extreme

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700

Corsair Dominator 8500CDC

Asus 8800GTS 320MB

SAMSUNG HD501LJ

Eizo 1931

Hi RAM Guy,

For 1,5 hour i buy a new PSU with 600W (Tagan TG600-U25),

because you mean i have not enough power but the Problem is the same.

With 800 MHz i have no problem. when i change the settings to 1066 MHz the pc dont boot or freezed in bios or DOS Mod with the 600W PSU

For 10 minutes, i made a Test with 3DMark06 and 800MHz without Problems.

But 1066 dont go.

Please give me settings for 1066 MHz :)

I am not sure about that PSU either, the Video card you have needs about 24 Amps if I remember correctly, but you should check with the maker of your Video card to be sure. And for the settings just load setup defaults and set the memory Voltage to 2.2 Volts and set Command Rate to 2T and set SLI Ready Memory to CPU Max should be all you have to do.

Hi Mister RAM Guy,

load setup defaults and set the memory Voltage to 2.2 Volts and set Command Rate to 2T and set SLI Ready Memory to CPU Max

When i take your settings, the PC boot 10 sec. and then he boot again or the bios freezed during the settings.

Sometimes the PC boot with WindowsXP Logo and then he freezed.

When i have luck, i come to the WindowsXP Desktop but the boot procedure is more than 2 min.

I have to do this but only with 800MHz, because when i take 1066MHz memtest or goldmem dont load the programm. With 800MHz the Rams have no errors. Where is the Problem. The Asus Striker Extreme or the Memory ? Asus Germany says: more than 800MHz brings Problems. Please help me.
