Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 18, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 18, 2007 You should not mix memory with any MB, especially memory from another MB maker.
Agrippa
Just out of curiosity: if timings and all other user-verifiable specs are the same, what would/might be difference between two or more seemingly identical modules from different manufacturers? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 21, 2007 There are other settings that are set for how the chipset sees the modules and you are welcome to try just be conservative, but there no way I can tell you what the spec is for another makers modules. And test with http://www.memtest.org to be sure.
Agrippa
Hopefully I won't need to strive with these things, having just ordered a full complement of 2GB modules from you guys. :-) I was just curious about what kind of un-seen things might differ from module to module, seeing as I know nothing at all about this stuff. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 21, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 21, 2007 There would be nothing that you can change or set. Like I said there are other settings the Bios may set for Different IC's in the chipset settings.
