Ankeah
i currently have TWIN2X2048-6400C4 installed on my system it says ver 1.2 i bought the same RAM again this version however is 2.1.... i can get 3 sticks to work at any settings.. however when i install the 4th stick my computer boots up but there is no video.. cant change any settings or log on to windows due to no video.. is there a possible fix for this? i tried setting the BIOS to 2.1volts and 677 MHz before hand and then installing the 4 sticks but it still has the same problem of no video. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 17, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 17, 2007 You will most likely need a bigger PSU to run with this system configuration, but with 4 modules I would suggest setting the memory frequency at DDR667. Ankeah
yes i meant 667 Freq, you think i need a bigger Power Supply? how big? could that be the problem with 4 sticks installed and no video? or is it because the version #s are different? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 21, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 21, 2007 What is the brand of your PSU you have now, and I would suggest at least a 550 Watt or our HX520W with that configuration for name brand and 600 Watt for no name.
