Intel BOXD975XBXLKR-TWIN2X2048-6400C4D

Recommended Posts

After using Corsair for years, I researched the pair I wanted for my new motherboard. Fired it up and got "Serial Presence Detect failed or information missing - will attempt to set configuration. Setting to 533.. hit any button to continure.

I hit everybutton on my keyboard and nothing happens. I doubt that Corsair would recommend memory that was not compliant with the board, therefore I am sure this is SPD memory.

Can I not get to the bios because of this message? Or did I just miss the F2 chance before the message comes up, therefore enabling me to check the bios and make adjustments? And if you recommend adjustments, can you be specific.......its been 3 years since I built my last computer and everything has changed quit a bit since then.

Ideas would be welcome. I appreciate the help.

Thanks Ram Guy. That did it. It picked up the first one right away,

then I shut down, inserted the second and both were there.

Since the latency is 5-5-5-15 I will now go back in and

change to 4-4-4-12 1.9-2.1 volts which if I read correctly is what

it should be showing.

I can do this through the bios or memtest?

You will need to make the changes in your Bios and I would suggest you set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts and then set the timings but load setup defaults before you make any changes.
