dbdt
After about 24 hours of use the computer this product was used in suffered from multiple blue screens. Testing the memory, with memtest86, one stick at a time, showed that one stick was good, the second stick was not. The same slot was used in each test, and Corsair recommend timings and voltages were used. After removing the stick that memtest86 indicated was bad, the system became stable, and has had no further blue screens after several SuperPi calculations and running F.E.A.R. When I get my RMA number, do I send back both sticks or just the faulty stick? Thank you for your time.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 15, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 15, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.0 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
dbdt
Only one stick gives errors, other works perfect, on memtest86 and during use.
