rejlafond
Hi I have a stick of VS1GB667D2 ram and when I have it installed in different systems the os has trouble booting up and if it does boot into the os after 10 to 20 min the system locks up and restarts. I change the ram with working ram and the systems works 100%. Rej
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 2, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 2, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.0 volts and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
rejlafond
Hi I tried doing what you mentioned and I have trouble loading the memory test utility when I'm running that bad ram in the system. As soon as I change it out with different ram, the memory tester works fine.
