P5LD2 - 1GB Old ram, what ram to boost to 2gb?

I have:

Asus P5LD2 Vanilla rev1.02

P4 630 @ 3.61Ghz

1GB (2x512) Corsair VS pc5300 @ DDR2-600 4-4-4-12, 5:4

All Rock Solid. The ram is nearly 18 months old and is VS1GBKIT667D2. I know there is some overclocking questions here but my main question involves compatibility.

I need an extra gig of ram and was going to buy more VS as above, but I noticed that I can get TWIN2X1024-5400C4 for only 7 dollars more. I think the argument of not mixing modules goes out the window as todays VS will most likely be different to yesterdays VS anyway... so what should I buy? My main concern is voltages... will the VS I have (1.9v) and the 5400c4 work together at the above speeds and timings?

It has been mentioned in the OC thread that some VS, very recently bought in Australia, where I live, reached ddr2-800 speeds. What kind of performance are people getting from 5400c4 at the moment? Cheers.

There is no way that I can answer that question, I am sorry but we do not test with mixed memory, nor would we suggest it. But you are welcome to try it if you like. However, if you have had these for some time the newer version of the same part may not work together on some MB's, and with 4 modules you might be forced to run the memory at DDR533 as well just don't go over 2.1 Volts on the memory and you should be fine.
