4GB (4x1GB) PC8500 ASUS P5B Deluxe-WiFi

Hello all.

I have recently built a (P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi motherboard) computer running current BIOS (1101) and have installed 2 twin packs of Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5 - a total of 4GB.

My CPU is the Intel QX6700 QuadCore.

When I put my first 2GB pair in and ran the memory voltage at 2.25V in the bios, my computer posted with 2GB of 1066MHz RAM. WAY COOL!

Then I put the second pair in, but the computer only posts 3GB RAM.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64bit.

I know this topic has probably been done to death, but can anyone tell me if I will ever get the motherboard to see more than 3 GB of PC8500 RAM or am I destined to never have 4GB show up??

Your CPU has to suppor 64 Bit and then there is a setting in the Bios to remap the memory that has to be enabled and you will need to maybe do a fresh install of the O. S. if you have it installed already.

Thank you for your help.

I have bumped the voltage up to 2.25v, put in a 64bit Intel quad core, and enabled memory re-mapping.

I know proudly am tho owner of 4GB 1066MHz XMS2 RAM with all of it seen in Vista 64! (Did not need to re-install).

Thankyou!!!!!
