Chuckler
Hi, I've got a few sticks of CMSS1GBR72-400 sitting around due to being purchased incorrectly some weeks ago. "ECC Server SD/DDR/DDR2 RAM - 1GB ECC Corsair System Select CMSS1GBR72-400, PC-3200 ECC DDR RAM, For Dell, Compaq, HP, IBM and Gateway Servers, Lifetime Warranty " are there any ABIT, ASUS, Gigabyte etc boards that this will run in? - Dean

The memory you have there is registered (buffered) ECC memory. Unfortunately, you will have to find a motherboard based on AMD's Socket 940 (not 939) or Intel's Socket 603 - along with a processor using either of those sockets - in order to use such memory. None of the current or recent enthusiast systems will work at all with registered memory - they will work only with unbuffered memory. Hope this helps.
