bobb1
Hi, I recently bought Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400, 2gb of 800mhz ram. The problem is when I try running at stock 800mhz, 5-5-5-12, 1.9v, I get a BSOD (blue screen) right when the system boots to XP. However, when I raised the voltage to 2.0 things seem to be stable. My question is that I just want to make sure that I am not voiding my warranty or anything by raising the voltage past what it is rated at since I can't get the ram to work at 1.9v. Thanks for your help. P.S. I have a 680i motherboard and was previously using some kingston ram, which worked fine for months and months with the system going 24/7 so I know it's not a motherboard issue, and I have not changed ANY other system components except the Ram, so its not another component causing the BSOD. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 30, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 30, 2007 They are rated up to 2.1 Volts so you will be fine and with some MB's that is normal.
bobb1
Oh ok, I saw Newegg had the voltage listed at 1.9 so I didn't know they were rated up to 2.1v. I wont worry about it. Thanks Ramguy!
