The main thing to remember with recent dual channel memory capable motherboards when adding to existing memory is that the memory controller wants to see matching IC's on all of the modules, meaning the modules identification numbers need to match all the way down to the version numbers. Because of the much higher speeds of ddr ram operating in dual channel mode, gone are the sdram days when you could plunk in just about any stick and the system would run. This is why it's usually advised to buy all of the ram you need at the same time, rather than trying to upgrade later. The 800mhz sticks will be faster than the 667mhz sticks as long as your board and cpu are capable of running them. To find out which sticks are compatible with that board you can use the memory configurator:

I have answered his question before. He has an 800FSB CPU, which Intel restricts to DDR2-667 or slower memory support. Therefore, if he buys DDR2-800 memory, depending on the existence of SPD programming for DDR2-667 speed, with his CPU his system will either be forced to run at DDR2-667 or fail to POST. He will need at least a 1066FSB CPU in order to run DDR2-800 at its full rated speed.
