ASUS P5N32-E SLI with 4Gb ram

I am considering buying the ASUS P5N32-E SLI motherboard with Intel E6700 processor. I'd like to have 4Gb of ram running at 800Mhz (as apparently supported by motherboard specifications). I've seen people having many problems with this motherboard in terms of getting memory to work.

My question is, can I achieve the above and, if so, which memory I should buy?

Is the situation different with ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS or P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe?

At this stage and time, there would be no sense in getting the P5N32 SLi SE. This mobo cannot compare with the P5N32-E SLi. The main problem with the P5N32-E SLi, by memory timings at AUTO or EPP enabled the mobo sets the Command Per CLock and TRC at a value of 1. This will definitely cause problems if you do not manually adjust the settings in bios and leave as auto. If you manually adjust the timings, there should be no problems.
