MaddGamer
Been having issues with the new system I built from day one. Finally had the time to run memtest on each stick of ram by itself, found that one is faulty and need a RMA for the defective stick. RAM: Matched pair of XMS2-6400 (CM2X1024-6400C4) Running at 400Mhz manually set timings to 4-4-4-12 with 2.1 volts as per the spec on the package. One of the sticks passes memtest with 12+ hours, the other gets failures in the first pass and keeps getting them, I upped the voltage to 2.2 and relaxed the timings to 5-5-5-15 and still get errors. So for now I have the system running with only the working stick and need to get the other stick replaced so I can have the memory that I paid for working correctly. Thanks.
