complexnumber
Hello guys, I've just got a new memory module for my linux box, but it doesn't work at all, I had a 512mb module from another brand and it works fine, but corsair's doesn't even if its alone, turn on the computer and nothing shows up on the monitor no beeps no nothing. These two are compatible, am I right? thanks Alex
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 25, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 25, 2007 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? And Did you try and reset the MB BIOS with the Jumper?
complexnumber
Hello and thanks for your reply, I'd managed to get it to work. I just had to manually set the CAS Latency to 3, it was automatically set by the BIOS to 2.5, for the record the MB is a Biostar P4M800-M7 with a Celeron D 2.66GHz FSB533 Thanks Alex
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 27, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 27, 2007 Alex with the CPU you have the memory should be set to DDR333 at Cas 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.7 Volts and they should run great.
