infinity999
Hello, I have 2 1GB sticks of CM2X1024-6400C4. Had problems loading XP (blue screens, lock-ups, failure to read installation files off the dvd drives etc.) pulled a stick out and everything went just fine. Ran memtest and memory has bad blocks. Please send RMA. Thank you, Patrick MB - ASUS Crosshair AM2 nForce
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 24, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 24, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.0 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
infinity999
I will try it, but if it was a motherboard issue why would XP load fine with one stick and not the other? I will probably just pop both sticks in my other machine and run memtest. I believe since it is a matched set I will have to send them both back? Thank you, Patrick
