Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 23, 2007 Getting errors with both module would suggest some other problem, Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
haralds
hello, the Board is the Asus A8N 32 SLI, the Settings are standard, no overclocking or other "spezial Things" the timings are the Standardtimings from the SPD 8 i control it in BIOS and teh Settings are ok) The Errors come with both modules-yes......the problem starts with a blue sceen in Windows 2 or 3 times in the day...than it happend more often and 5 days later the PC dont start with the moduls, i buy 2 new Rams and the PC runs perfektr...... At first i use memtest-here i have Errors all the Time , than i check the Moduls in the Asus A8N SLI-the same Problem-no startup with the Rams Both Boards run with other Moduls.... All other Settings in BIOS are standard, i´m not a overclocker thanks for answer mfg harry
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 23, 2007 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
