Hi all

I have tried 2 different pairs of ram and both are giving blue screens ill ops.

when using a single stick works fine

white slots work in dual channel but unstable

blue slots dont work at all

tried setting ram to epp 2.1v but wont boot

speeds dont detect to epp standard from CpuZ results 5 5 5 18 which is the jedec standard

does my mother board support epp - is it auto detected or do i have to set it in the manual

motherboard is auto detecting all settings - pc probe 2 showed the 1.2v ht was 1.5v is this too much

memtest has errors after 5 minutes running dual channel@800mhz fine at 667mhz for 30 minutes havent tried longer yet

regards

Shaun

Yes that MB will support EPP but I would suggest you disable EPP and set these settings manually after you load setup defaults:

SLi ready: Disabled

Memory Voltage: 2.0v

NB Core Voltage: 1.4v

TCL: 5

TRCD: 5

TRP: 5

TRAS: 15

Command Per Clock: 2

TRC: 28

Thanks ram guy - store i purchased it from has agreed to replace the motherboard since the ram had already been swapped over - after taking the motherboard out i noticed some dark patches on the bottom which im told is caused by overheating.

Get the replacement motherboard on friday hopefully all will go fine then.

one question

Where in the motherboard settings can I find the option to enable EPP i couldnt find it?

Thanks in advance

Shaun
