elzar
Last month I ordered a TWIN2X2048-6400C4 set to use in my new Asus M2N-SLI Deluxe. After some troubleshooting I found that one of the modules was bad, producing errors after a minute or two under memtest. I contacted Corsair support through TSX and got the modules RMA'd, sent April 4, and received by Corsair April 9 according to UPS. In the mean time since memory prices have been dropping I decided to order another set for a total of 4 gig (once I receive my replacements). Upon installing the new memory I find that one of the modules causes the system to not POST. Individually one module works and the other doesn't. I did manage to borrow another TWIN2X2048-6400C4 set from a coworker this week and my system is running quite well with it. Currently I am still waiting for my original memory to be replaced. Corsair has not responded to my email and nothing has been delivered even though the 3-day turnaround/3-day shipping date has come and gone. In addition I am stuck with more unusable memory. Is this normal for warranty repair/replacements to take so long? Case #: 120081 RMA #: 1000055

elzar
That did the trick. They stated it had not been scheduled to ship yet when it should have shipped at the end of last week. At least now it will be shipped out Monday. Will these support issues be fixed soon? I am a bit concerned that I had to call to get my memory back, especially since my second set is not working. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 20, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 20, 2007 If you still have problems when you get that set back please call and ask for me at 800-205-7657, but I would suspect some other issue. Did you load setup defaults and then set the memory voltage to 1.9-2.0 Volts?

Did you load setup defaults and then set the memory voltage to 1.9-2.0 Volts? I spent a week troubleshooting the issue: * updated from a 430W Antec TruePower Trio to the 650W version * varied the voltage from 1.9 to 2.1 volts * tried both 4-4-4-12 and 5-5-5-15 timings * downclocked from 800 to 667 to 533 * tried a few other timing suggestions found on this forum relating to the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe motherboards With the proper settings for the memory one module runs perfectly, the other module would fail in memtest after a few minutes using all permutation of the above settings. With the second set of memory the system will not even POST with both modules. With the good module memtest has run all day without issues, the bad module does not allow the system to POST. And as I previously stated I am currently using a cow-orker's TWIN2X2048-6400C4 set, with the proper 2.1v, 4-4-4-12 settings, without any issues at all. elzar
When I called last Friday they stated the modules would be shipped Monday, 4/23. Given the three day shipping that support advertises I expected them to arrive today. Needless to say nothing has been delivered. I will be calling again in the morning to find out where they are. Over the years I have purchased quite a bit of Corsair memory. The memory I am trying to replace is the first I have that did not work, and for that I am happy. However given how Corsair handles support I don't see myself buying any more Corsair memory in the future. While I realize that the Corsair employee(s) on this board are not directly involved with the RMA process I do hope they are communicating the frustration their customers are having with trying to get memory replaced. elzar
Instead of shipping Monday like I was told it was actually shipped yesterday. At least I was given the tracking number. - one unhappy customer
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 27, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 27, 2007 I am sorry about that, but I assure you this miss information was not intentional and was because we changed our accounting system which caused most if not all of these errors, first in what they told you, they got the information from what the software told them, and I am sure the delay was due to the new system as well, so please don't think that was intentional because it was most definitely not. And Again I do apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any questions or problems.
