mhammett
I have a 1 gig Voyager. It worked just fine for quite some time. I took it out of one computer and put it in a different one 15 minutes later and it claimed it wasn't formatted. It now claims the device isn't formatted. I see references to snapfiles.com, however, I cannot find a good utility there. I am looking to recover the files on the drive (images and other) and then reformat. I can format with Corsair's utility or Windows. However, please recommend a utility to do the file recovery.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 20, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 20, 2007 Please just search for one on http://www.snapfiles.com and I would use one that has at least 4 stars and is shareware. I am sorry but I dont have a preference and most will give you a preview of what can be recovered.
mhammett
The only freeware\shareware utility I've found that was worth anything was GetDataBack. However, it is $70 so I may not be recovering any data.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 23, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 23, 2007 I would try PC Inspector File Recovery or Undelete Plus or SoftPerfect File Recovery Or PC Inspector Smart Recovery are just a few that I found that are Free ware and might work for you.
