Ergolad Posted April 17, 2007 Share Posted April 17, 2007 FLASH VOYAGER - CMFUSB2.0-1GB HP Pavilion dv1680us WINXP PRO SP2 Intel CPU T2400 @ 1.83GHz 1GB RAM 100 GB HD This is my second of this model. The current one is an RMA replacement of a previous failed unit. Drive does not initialize when plugged into a USB 2.0 slot. Device worked fine and then recently came up with the following error, "USB Device Not Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it." The drive does not show up at all under Disk Management, nor can I access it to run the EzRecovery tool available from you guys. The blue light does not light up and when inserted for a while the drive itself seems to get pretty hot to the touch. Unfortunately I am out of town on business for the next 5 months in Europe. What are my replacement options? Honestly, I'm a bit miffed that I'm having a second problem with this drive. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
