noobie
Hi, I apologize if this has been addressed before, but I was wondering whether connecting the PSU to a UPS outlet would cause problems. The reason I'm asking is because I've noticed a slight buzzing noise whenever a 3D application is running and I'm pretty sure the noise is coming from the PSU. I'm not sure if it's the fan, because I don't hear any noise from the PSU during normal use. BTW, the UPS is the APC BackUPS 500, if it helps. Everything seems to be running okay from what I can tell; voltages are spot-on (according to AsusProbe anyway), and they only drop slightly when the system is under full-load. Tabasco
I have my 620 Power Supply plugged into an APC 1100 and haven't had any issues, and I game a lot. We have a lot of "brown outs" where I live in the summer, so I won't run my PC without a UPS.
