Asus Commando & Dominator DDR2 1142

I have a Commando motherboard and Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1142 (PC2 9136), QX6700. I am having an impossible time trying to get the memory over 500mhz.

Used auto spd or manual 5-5-5-15, had V up to 2.4v. Doesn't matter if memory is 1:1 with fsb, or fsb is slower with 4:5 or 2:3 memory. Had fsb, termination, etc., voltages all over the map.

Can boot in and get desktop (WinXP)at mem=504 max, but no more than a half hour or so of ORTHOS. Doesn't make any difference if I set the fsb for slow or fast strap on boot.

I've had the processor just over 4Ghz, x10, mem 1:1. Runs great at 3.6Ghz all day, as long as the combination of cpu multiplier, fsb, mem multiplier keeps the memory speed below 500mhz.

All temps are very reasonable (water cooled).

Please help!

Thanks,

Emil
