Bad Stick of VS512MB400

Recommended Posts

I have 4 identical sticks of VS512MB400 (783-0540104-0-586425) in my Sony Vaio PCV-RZ54G. It had been running great until today. Windows XP would blue screen or not power up at all.

I removed all 4 sticks and put them back in one at a time and ran memtest. Three passed the test. With the fourth one, the system would not boot at all. I put all three good sticks back in and the system is running fine now.

I need a response from the Ram Guy, so I can RMA this stick of memory.
