billmaher7
I have two CMX1024 modules; one good, one bad. Test environment: BIOS setting for my DFI motherboard are stock, memory set by SPD. The modules have never been overclocked or powered over-voltage. Test steps: tested each module in the same slot, and then repeated this for each slot I could use. One module passed all tests, the other produced the following errors in 5 passes using several slots: Test # - average number of errors 1-6, 2-0, 3-47, 4-315, 5-0, 6-44, 7-177, 8-5. Tests #9,10 & 11 were not run. Any suggestions or questions from Tech Support or other members of this forum before I RMA the bad module. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 30, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 30, 2007 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. Just run the default tests in http://www.memtest.org and errors in test 5-8 would suggest some other problem, so I would test them in another system to be sure if you can. billmaher7
Hello Ram Guy, I have done what you've suggested, and I've experimented a bit; no luck. Unfortunately the errors also occur on a second system. I will RMA the module(s). Thanks, Bill

Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 10, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 10, 2007 That is the part# you should use in the RMA request but the quantity would be one and you send both modules.
