Terry28
Hi - I have had a CMX1024-3200C2 and a CMX512-3200C2 module in a Gigabyte GA-K8NS motherboard for a little over a year with no problems, when the system was setup I rand Memtest 86+ overnight to ensure the memory was OK. Recently the computer has started rebooting randomly while gaming and seemed slow with odd behavior. I tried reinstalling Windows XP a couple times and it failed each time with a BSOD during installation. I ran the latest Memtest 86+ and received over 12,000 errors in a couple seconds. I tried the modules each one at a time and the 512MB module is fine and passes memtest but the 1024MB module causes the computer to not post. I tried restoring the BIOS to defaults and still no luck booting with the 1024MB module installed. I also tried bumping up the voltage +.2 V in the BIOS and no luck. The module is definitely dead and I need a go ahead from RamGuy to do the RMA process. Thanks, Terry
