mayank
Ramguy, I have a ASUS P5W Delux board with TWIN2X2048-6400C4D ram. I read your suggestion in one of the threads on this board about tweaking the settings so that the ram posts DD2 800 (currently its at 667). This is what i did (under Jumper free settings): - Voltage: 2.10 V - Profile 400/DDR2 800 After that i ran the MemTest and Windows Memory Diagnostics ... both had some tests failing (e.g. LRAND test) and worse of all my windows crashed on boot (the dreaded blue screen). Is there something wrong with my ram or am i not settings the correct values in bios. Thanks. P.S. I have a E6600 2.4 Ghz (nothing overclocked)
Yoxxy
Try change FSB to 400. Cpu multiplier to 6x. This will still be 2400 mhz. You can then also set the memory speed t 1:1. This may help with the 975x chipset as the 3:5 divider seems to be a bit sketchy for most people.
