Bad stick of RAM ??

I have "Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C5 TwinX (2x1GB)" for my new system. After about 2 weeks i started having system crash's and lock-ups all the time. After abit i tracked it down to a bad stick of ram. I downloaded memtest86 and tested each stick on its own. First stick was fine, run for around 45 - 50 mins 0 errors. Second stick run for 10 - 15 mins then alot of errors then system lock up.

I contacted the supplier i bought this ram and all the rest of my stuff from, only to find they didn't help me much at all.

I haved the most up-to-date bois and didn't change any settings in bios, so all settings (timmings ect) are default.

I am using the Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) mobo (with F10 bios)

What should i do, raise an RMA ? Anything else i can do to check that it is a fault ?

Thanks

Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.1 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
