I have a P5N32 E sli and Corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5*¹ memory. I set my mobo sli option to Ocfull, and cpuz still shows my ram running at 800MHZ. S i turned off the SLI option, and hard coded memory from 800mhz to 1066mhz at 2T, and the box wouldn't post. I then turned the memory down to 1000MHZ, and it booted up fine. I'd like to know why the EPP feature isn't working. I specifically went with the 680i nvidia chipset and this ram for the EPP features. I have the most current BIOS as well.

Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then load setup defaults int he bios setup and then set the memory voltage to 2.2 Volts and set SLI Ready memory to CPU Max and Disable Legacy USB and then exit saving changes and see if the system is running the correct settings.

I have a Asus P5N32-Esli mobo with an Intel Duo E6400.

I also have twinx-2048-8500c5 rates at 1066mhz(5-5-5-15)2T

As a gamer, can I expect better memory performance running it at it's rating:

1066mhz Dual Channel 5-5-5-15 2t

or lower speed with tighter settings:

800mhz(800mhz rating says 5-5-5-18) is this really tighter????

Another question. DDr2 rating are much slower than DDR. Is DDR2 really much faster? It seems the MHZ is faster, but the timings are slower. is there really a noticable gain with DDR2?

I just built a new system and haven't seen a noticable difference.

Old athlon 64 +4200 (2.2ghz) with twinx-2048-3200C2(2-3-3-6 1T)

new intel duo E6400(2.1ghz) with twinx2048-8500C5 (5-5-5-15 2T)
