MSI and Corsair?? Problems?

Good day,

 

I have a problem regarding my memory Corsair 2048MB DDR400 PC3200 CL2

(Corsair TWINX2048-3200X2)

 

I have a CAS Latency of 3, RAS# to CAS# of 3, RAS# precharge of 3 and a Tras of 8 when it should be 2-3-3-6.

 

I have a AMD Athlon 64 +3200 Clawhammer Socket 754 with probably a fixed multiplier of 10.0 x, bus speed of 200.0 and a HT Link of 800.0Mhz (L1 Data is 64Kbytes, L1 Code is 64Kbytes, L2 Code is 1024Kbytes) and a MSI K8T Neo-FIS2R (MS-6702) as motherboard. The BIOS is updated to 2.2 and according to MSI updates it's the latest of this BIOS. Chipset is VIA K8T800 (VT8383).

 

I have tried to change it in the BIOS..I put it on CAS L. 2, but with restarting you can see it's still on 3. I also changed the voltage to 2.75V and it would not help.

 

Can anybody help me with this?

I have CPU-Z and under the MEMORY TAB I find under the "Timings" the following:

 

Frequency: 200.0 Mhz

FSB/DRAM: CPU/10

CAS# Latency: 3.0 clocks

RAS# to CAS# Delay: 3 clocks

RAS# Precharge: 3 clocks

Cycle Time (Tras): 3 clocks

Bank Cycle Time: 11 clocks

DRAM Idle Timer: 16 clocks

 

Command Rate is blank and grey

Total CAS# (tRDRAM) is blank and grey

Row to column (tRCD) is blank and grey

 

 

 

I can see in that same tab, that under "General" the Type: DDR, Size: 2048MB, Channels: Single

Peformance Mode and Bank Interleave are blank and grey.

 

I don't know for sure what could be wrong.

Yes I have just resetted the BIOS and I saved the BIOS settings and this is what I have:

I use CPU-Z 1.39

 

With POST you mean the first screen you see when your system starts were you can see what type of BIOS you have, how many Memory you have and the long list of Slave etc. ?? I have to translate it to Dutch so it's sometimes a little bit of guess.

If so, the CAS Latency stays 3, even when in BIOS I put it on 2.5 or 2. If all on Auto still it doesn't detect any of the timings I want it to be.

Actually the info in PC wizard is correct and the SPD is set to those values, and the memory you have does not support ECC so you need to turn that off and set the timings manually in the Bios. But that program is reading the modules SPD and that will not change.
