scottieb0623
I just built a new system, with an Asus P5B-E, Intel Pentium D. I bought the CM2X1024-6400, which also has on the sticker "XMS6404v2.1". One week later, I buy another gig of the same ram, except on the sticker it has "XMS6404v4.1. With the additional memory installed in the correct slot, I can never boot to windows (Vista Enterprise) - it does a memory dump.

scottieb0623
It's never recommended to mix memory of different revisions. I had ordered the memory from Newegg. You would think they would be aware, especially since I had ordered the parts for the new build one week before ordering the additional memory. And, an $18.00 restocking fee for one stick of memory?:!:
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 21, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 21, 2007 I am sorry but the only way to get matching modules would be to order the set like Twinx or VSXGBKit.
