Striker Extreme - Twin2x2048-6400C4 Bad?

Hi,

I bought a set of TWIN2X2048-6400C4 (two 1GB modules) to install a new system :

ASUS Striker Extreme (updated to BIOS 1002)

eVGA e-GeForce 8800 GTX

Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6700

Thermaltake Kandalf LCS case with liquid cooling

Silverstone Zeus 850W

I have a problem with one of the two modules. It is preventing POST from running and the LCD poster (on MB) hangs on "DET DRAM".

This module alone is causing the problem, when the other is not.

I can not run memtest on it, because it prevents the Post from finishing.

I have booted to the BIOS with the good module and verified the timings are manually set to 4-4-4-12-1T (also tried 2T, same result). The voltage is set to 2.1V (tried 2.0V as well). After saving any of these changes, shutting down and installing the "bad" module, I get the same error hanging during POST.

I believe this is a bad module and would like to RMA it. Since it's part of a tested pair, should both modules be returned?
