K8T Neo-V 1GB Corsair problem

The machine has been perfectly stable with 2 x 256MB of PC2100 memory ever since it was put together about 9 months ago, running Windows XP Pro SP2.

When a brand new Corsair 1GB CMX 1024-3200 is installed, Windows fails with BSOD upon user signon or hangs even before it gets there.

The BIOS reports 1GB. DRAM voltage is set in BIOS to 1.7V as suggested in some other post here.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Please load setup defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org with the tested settings manually set! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. In addition, with this MB you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test.
