-- sorry in advance for my english, especially for the technical terms I don't really know --

Hi ! get DDR PC3200... (Running under Windows XP with a ABIT IC7-G motherboard , Pentium 4 PRESCOTT 3GHZ) about 15 months ago on grosbill.com, and it looks like one of the two modules is bad.

At the very beginning I got a blue screen with reboot about once a month or less, and didn't really worry about it.

But since last week, don't know why, got this problem every time I launch any heavy process like firefox or a game - it did happen on windows launching too !

I'm know obliged to remove one of the two modules (always the same - problem occurs only when this one is connected, even alone)

I did follow the advices I found on your website, but it didn't help.

Can you help me?

I hope this is good english enough for you to understand. If not, please just mail me back. Thanks in advance.

Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.

I'm tried it and I always got errors with 2-3-3-6 latence or "By Spd", and the Dim Voltage already set to 2.7 v.

My modules are not Value Select but XMS, only one of the two modules get errors under "Memtest", I test it one by one. I play games at this time with the good module and I not get any problem.

NP Please let me know, you must be in Asia somewhere

Humm ... Almost ... I'm in France ;o)
