Hi Ram Guy,

Ive been reading here about OCing the ram etc and after checking the timings recommended by you for my RAM I decided to OC it. My problem is that when I set the FSB anything higher than about 220 my PC starts rebooting randomly (could be in 5 mins or in 2 days but it reboots).

Motherboard make and model: Asus P4C800/-E and/or Abit IC7/-G.

Each pair is tested and packaged together using the following settings:

CPU External Frequency: Manually set to 250MHz

DRAM Clock: Manually set to 1:1 or 400MHz

SDRAM CAS Latency: 3T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 4T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T

SDRAM Bank Interleave: 4 Bank

SDRAM VDIMM: 2.75

All other settings are motherboard defaults.

Maximum recommended VDIMM: 2.9

These are the instructions on your signature.

I have a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz Prescott and a Abit AI7 motherboard.

Please help me get the best performance from my ram.

Thanks

I upped it to 225 and it was running fine and all of a sudden it rebooted after running fine for more than 2 hours. I have no idea what is going on :( it does the same when I run it at 220. Im gooing to have to run it at the default of 200 and use my DDR500 ram as DDR400 :(

:( that sucks.

I bought the DDR500 memory to get better performance. I am gonna try removing a couple of peripherals out of my PC and see if it starts working at 250 and 3-4-4-8. Also I have that Game Accelerator but there is not option to disable it. What should I put there for an ABIT AI7 ??

Thanks for the help Ram Guy
