Hi...

I have been posting in the wrong part of the forums...

this is a link to my other post regarding these 2 sticks of RAM I have:

http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57034

I was told by corsair support that my P5W DH Deluxe does not officially support DDR2-800 so i bit the bullet & went & bought a new mobo..

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Rev2.0 board to test...

parts used:

e6600 + E6300

Twin2X2048-6400C4 rev2.1

Asus P5W DH Deluxe

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 rev2.0

XFX 7800GTX XXX

Gainward 7600GT

OCZ 700w GameXtream

thermaltake 680w PurePower....

Now my 1st problem...

1: will not boot at DDR2-800 on P5W Dh no matter what timings..

2: fails memtest86+ on 965P-DS3 @ rated speeds...

3: I bought these RAM because all review sites said they used Micron based chips... That was my only reason for buying them & now all i've had is problems...

I would like to RA these sticks & get the same pair except based on Micron chips please...

This is not the 1st time I've had problems with corsair RAM...

BTW, I fix PC's for a living at Amexcom in Australia so have lots of resources to test components out...

thanks for your response RAMGUY...

tbh, I'd be happy to just have ones that work at specified ratings...

I was just a lil bit pieved that i had to go out to buy another mobo/cpu combo just to make sure that I was right...

I have already applied for online RA...

thanks for your quick response...

Cheers,

Minny

Heya RAMGUY,

AFAIK, Corsair have received the faulty modules as I insured them & also had tracking on my packages..

Just wanna know if it a replacement set has been sent back yet or not...

Kinda anxious to receive my modules back as the ones I am using currently are P.O.S...

Could U please check for me??

Many thanks, you have always been very helpful to me & I really do appreciate it...

thanks for the help guys, i got my ram back yesterday & although it is still rev2.1; at least it boots up @ specs...

Anyways, next time i buy Corsair I better use this forum more often as I'm one picky S.O.B when it comes to RAM...

Cheers,

Minny
