LA Fred
I have an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe. I want to increase the amount of memory. I remember reading here that, to add memory, you must match the existing memory exactly. It was pointed out that, over time, the version numbers change. If the version number has changed, then you must get all new memory. Here is what is written on my present memory (Two Sticks): Corsair Micro Memory TWINX1024-3200LLPRO Written on Chip: CMX 512-5200LL Pro XMS 3205V1.0 0343026 XMS3200 512MB 400MHz 2326 Where does that place me? Can I add to it or do I have to get all new memory? Thank you in advance for your advice.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 30, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 30, 2007 I am sorry but XMS3200LL is not longer in production, it would be best to replace them with one set of Twinx2048-3200C2 modules for best performance. LA Fred
Although that was not the answer I had hoped for, I do appreciate your fast reply.
