usb port connection error

tundra

Recommended Posts

A couple weeks ago I plugged my USB drive into an old USB port, 1.0. Ever since then, every computer I plug it into (which all have hi-speed ports) I get the following message:

This USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port.

I have windows xp and sp2 on the computers I use. Since this occurs on all systems, I think the problem is associated with the memory stick itself, but I don't know how to fix it. Other than that message popping up every time I plug in the flash drive, the device works ok. But I would like to fix this anyway, it is very annoying. Any suggestions?

I have a Flash Voyager 512 MB.

thanks.
