HELP! Bad CMX1024-3200C2PT

Recommended Posts

I posted this somewhere else but noe responce, so i've seen other people get responded on this one...

I have a stick of CMX1024-3200C2PT and i put it in my computer, when i booted up windows it says "windows can't boot up, file ntsf.sys is either missing or corrupt" I didn't think it was the ram, so i decided to reformat my computer and reinstall windows, so i put in my windows cd, and it said the same file from the cd was missing or corrupt. I was shocked, so i tried putting back in my other ram (256) and windows booted up perfectly, so i tried again, maybe i had put it in wrong or something, but it said that file was corrupt again.

It only messes up when the CMX1024-3200C2PT is installed.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

And are you mixing this memory with other memory, if what is the part# of the other memory?
