redfirebird87
Hello. I'm wanting to upgrade my laptop, starting with adding more memory. It currently has 2 Apacer 256 DDR PC3200 SoDimms that I'd like to replace with Corsair memory. I've used the Memory Selector on Corsiar's homepage, but it's reported that I should use PC2100? Why is this? Also it reports that I should only run 1Gb of ram whereas Alienware has stated that I can run 1.5 and be stable. Basically what I'd like to know is what kind of ram should I upgrade to for the best preformance? I have an Intel P4 3.0Ghz with 512L2 Cache 800Mhz FSB, I'm pretty sure the mobo is Uniwill, but I don't know the model number with out looking it up. Any assistance is appreciated! Thanks!!
